Our Department

8 professors, 11 associate professors, 2 Instructors, 7 Gastroenterology experts and11 internal medicine specialists and sub-branch assistants works in our department.The Gastroenterology department deals with esophagus (esophagus), stomach and intestinal diseases, liver, gall bladder and bile ducts, pancreas diseases.

Diagnosis and Treatment Areas

Upper Gastrointestinal system endoscopy (esophagus, stomach and duodenum evaluation)
PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (feeding tube insertion)
Lower gastrointestinal endoscopy (colonoscopy) (large intestine evaluation)
Double balloon enteroscopy (small bowel assessment)
Endoscopic Ultrasonography (evaluation of lesions in the esophagus, stomach, pancreas and bile ducts)
Anorectal endosonography (evaluation of fistula or masses at the exit of the large intestine)
Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreaticography (ERCP) (diagnosis and treatment of obstructions in the bile duct and pancreatic duct due to stones or masses)
Liver biopsy
Motility laboratory (esophageal manometer, esophagus phMetre, anorectal manometer)
